MUSHROOMS

A DAY IN THE WOOD

Mushrooms are, in their complex of relations with other living beings and functions, still largely unknown; very difficult to classify, omnipresent, they have been on Earth for hundreds of millions of years, and they never cease to amaze us with their tastes, shapes, flavours and smells.

The woods in Aosta’s Valley, especially in some periods of the year, are rich in edible and not mushrooms: a day in the forest allows you to discover a very particular world, where each species has its favourite tree, and whose usefulness in nature is not measure with edibility.
